I am currently accepting commissions in the following categories:
- Pets
- Landscapes
- Home & Architecture
- Floral / Botanical
- Photo Recreations (upon approval)
- Other – Contact Artist – I am not accepting commission work for full portraits.
All work is created in watercolor, with room for collaboration on tone, mood, and stylistic direction while staying true to my natural approach.
Please Note-
I do not offer framing options at this time. Artwork ships flat in a clear sleeve with an acid‑free mat and backing board. Tracking provided.
Pricing
Commissions are priced by size at $3 per square inch, Price does not include, taxes, framing or shipping and handling.
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your commission slot.

Timeline
Standard turnaround is 4–8 weeks from the date we finalize the concept, size, and reference materials.
Rush timelines are not available at this time.
Process
- Inquiry Please submit via the form link below. Please include reference photos, desired size, subject, and any stylistic preferences. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to determine if moving forward is a good fit for both of us. Cost including taxes and shipping will be calculated
- Sketch Approval You’ll receive one initial sketch for approval. One adjustment/revision included. Due to the nature of watercolor, revisions after painting begins are very limited. If we agree to move forward at this point, I will email you a total cost (base price + applicable sales tax + shipping costs).
- Final Painting Once the sketch and/or revision is approved and the deposit is received, I will begin working on your commission.
- Completion & Delivery When the painting is finished, the remaining balance is due before shipping.
- Communication All communication is handled exclusively through email at h.torgerson@nookandhelm.com I respond within 48 hours on business days.
Terms
I reserve the right to decline projects that fall outside my style or capacity.
Artist retains copyright to all commission work.
