Barking Up the Right Tree began as a picture in my mind. I could see and feel the cool blue I want to layer and build this tree on. Each piece of bark is hand torn and painted then layered into place. I used a reverse technique of painting my torn edges to produce a rough texture instead of a crisp white edge.

All sales are final. If your piece arrives damaged in transit, contact me within 7 days with photos of the packaging and artwork. I’ll work with the carrier to file a claim and arrange a replacement or refund. Shipping is available within the United States only. All pieces are created on 100% cotton papers. I use an assortment of Arches, Saunders Waterford & Hahnemuhle papers in 140lb and/or 300lb weight. Daniel Smith Professional Watercolor paints. Collage layers are applied with archival, PH Neutral, Books by Hand adhesive.
